Jim and Phyllis Dahlgren launch Dahlgren International bringing bespoke china, crystal, and silverware from European manufacturers to the U.S. market. Dahlgren International quickly gained a reputation for delivering the highest quality product and impeccable service.
Recognizing an opportunity in the market, Allan Duck joins Jim Dahlgren and together they form the partnership, D2 Enterprises—it was the world’s first company focused on curating and delivering custom china, crystal, silverware, and linens. Drawn to the unique product mix, strong manufacturer relationships and ability to deliver, design firms became hooked on the value brought to their projects.
The company, now known as Dahlgren Duck & Associates, emerges as the go to procurement partner for designer firms serving elite clientele. A VIP build on an oil executive’s custom Boeing 727 leads to the outfitting of his Texas ranch, which leads to providing services and linens for his custom yacht. Solidifying our private travel division, and launching the company’s Residential Design division.
Starting when they had only two planes, Dahlgren Duck establishes a relationship with the fractional ownership startup, NetJets, and the leading manufacturer, Gulfstream. Our experience in outfitting private aircraft fit the exact need the fledgling company had to supply china, crystal, silverware, and linens to elevate their owners’ experience.
Dahlgren Duck is tapped to upgrade the dining service at Bent Tree Country Club. The success of that project reinforces the DD reputation for providing unmatched customer service. That reputation combined with the success of the Bent Tree project leads to projects with other major country clubs in the Dallas area, launching the company’s Hospitality Division.
Having established a strong, reliable network of relationship with bespoke artisans and manufacturers, Dahlgren Duck continues to grow, exhibiting at major trade shows. We are also recognized with awards of excellence by industry trade magazines Wings and Wheels and Business Jet Interiors.
Palaces. Aircrafts. Yachts. Heads of State. The mid 90’s found the company working with designers and firms tapped by the Sultan of Brunei. The work touched every division of the company, and opened the door to work with other Heads of States.
As our reputation for excellent service as a special markets company grows, so does our network of manufacturer relationships including 5th generation Italian linen manufacturer, Rivolta Carmignani. We are currently the world’s largest wholesaler of Rivolta Carmignani, supplying many hotel and destination club properties.
Dahlgren Duck launches our Residential Destination division, thanks to our new role as a preferred provider of OS&E and FF&E for Exclusive Resorts. This strategic partnership results in DD warehousing large replenishment orders, stocking branded goods, and custom finishes.
To accommodate the needs of our growing destination club, hotel, hospitality clients, we expand our ability to source, stock, consolidate, palletize and ship anything from branded goods, to complete OS&E houseware packages to locations both domestic and international. Providing service that exceeds expectation, with product that establishes new standards for quality.
Strategically placed in the heart of the Dallas design district, our showroom is a place for clients and designers to gather inspiration, collaborate on upcoming projects, or experience private, curated tours of products and trends shaping the world of design.
A noted turning point for the company, the company’s desire to innovate and expand operations leads to a capital infusion from a private equity group. Committed to aggressive growth goals, this influx of resources allowed us to invest in people, products, and technology.
Martin Pucher partners with Scott Ritter and joins Dahlgren Duck as Managing Partner. Together, Martin and Scott’s mission is to lead Dahlgren Duck into the next phase of global growth. Starting with launch of several new company verticals, and the opening of new business offices in Dubai, London and Denver. Along with expanding the global footprint, the partners have launched new mobile app technology to support our growing list of clients with project planning, replenishments and new product selections.
